Privacy policy
Effective 26 October 2026
FastBento is built so that your records stay with you. This policy explains what the app and this website do with information, in plain words. In short: there is no account, your records stay on your device, and we do not track you.
Who we are
FastBento is made by Instadyn LLC ("Instadyn", "we", "us"). You can reach us at support@instadyn.com.
The short version
- No account. You do not sign up, and we do not ask for your name or email to use FastBento.
- Your records (fasts, meals, water, weight, sleep, mood, notes, plans and settings) are stored only on your device, in an encrypted vault.
- We do not receive your records. FastBento 1.0 does not send them to us or to anyone else.
- No tracking and no analytics in the app or on this website. No advertising, and we do not sell or share personal information.
- Backups are files you create and save wherever you choose, locked with a password only you know.
- We never see your card details. Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play.
What FastBento stores, and where
When you use FastBento it keeps the records you enter: your fasts and their times, the meals, water, weight, sleep and mood you log, your notes, your plans and the commitments you protect in them (such as dinner or a workout), optional body measurements, your answer about your age, and your settings.
Some of this is health-related information. We treat all of it as sensitive. It is stored only on the device you use. On iPhone and Android it lives in an encrypted vault on the phone, with its key held in the phone's secure storage (the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore). On the web it lives in your browser's storage on your computer or phone, encrypted with a key your browser holds for this site.
Because the records stay on your device, we cannot see them, recover them or delete them for you. Clearing your browser's site data on the web, or deleting the app on a phone, removes the vault, and it cannot be brought back unless you saved a backup first.
Phone backups and sync
FastBento keeps its vault out of automatic iCloud and Google device backups, and it does not sync your records between devices. A phone restored from an iCloud or Google backup therefore will not bring your FastBento records with it. To move to a new phone, use a FastBento backup file (see below).
Backups and exports you create
You can make an encrypted backup file (a .bento file) from Settings. You choose a password, and the file is locked with it. FastBento then opens your phone's or browser's file picker so you can save the file wherever you like: a folder on your device, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox or any other place.
- We do not receive, store or hold a copy of your backup.
- We cannot open a backup and we cannot recover your password. If you lose the password, nobody can open the backup, not even us.
- If you save a backup in a cloud service, that service holds the encrypted file under its own terms and privacy policy.
- You can also export your records as CSV or JSON files. These files are not encrypted. Keep them somewhere you trust, and delete them when you no longer need them.
People under 18
FastBento's fasting tools are for adults aged 18 and over. When you start, the app asks about your age. If you say you are under 18, FastBento gives you a plain journal only: no fasting timer, no fasting plans and no goals. Your answer and everything you write in the journal stay on your device, as for every other user.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and the app is not directed at children under 13. Because FastBento keeps your records on your device and does not send them to us, we do not hold any child's data. If you are a parent or guardian and have a concern, write to support@instadyn.com.
Purchases
FastBento is free to use, with an optional one-time Lifetime purchase. On iPhone the purchase is handled by the App Store, and on Android by Google Play. Apple and Google process your payment under their own terms and privacy policies. We never see or store your card or payment details.
To unlock what you bought, the app checks your purchase with the store. You can restore a purchase on a new device with "Restore purchases", using the same Apple or Google account. No FastBento account is involved.
No analytics, no tracking
FastBento 1.0 contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and this website does not use cookies or analytics either. If a later version ever adds an optional online feature, we will update this policy first and ask you before any information leaves your device.
Crash reports
If you have allowed sharing of diagnostics in your device settings, Apple or Google may send us anonymous crash reports. They contain no records, and we use them only to fix bugs. You can turn this off in your device settings.
Reminders and notifications
Reminders are created and shown by your device. They are not sent from our servers. You can turn them off in FastBento or in your device settings.
This website
fastbento.com is a static website. It has no sign-up or contact form, sets no cookies, and runs no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from the site itself.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request details, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles them.
When you write to us
If you email support@instadyn.com we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to answer you and to improve FastBento, and we keep it for as long as we need it for that. Please do not send health records, backup files or your backup password in a support email. We will never ask for your password.
Deleting your data
You are in control of your records. You can delete them in FastBento: open Settings and choose Delete data on this phone (Android), Delete data on this iPhone (iPhone) or Delete data in this browser (web). You can make a backup first if you want to keep a copy. Deleting the app on a phone, or clearing the site's data in your browser, also removes the vault from that device. Backups and exports you saved elsewhere are not affected: delete those files yourself in the place where you saved them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information, such as access, correction, deletion and portability. For your FastBento records you can use them directly: view and edit them in the app, export them as CSV or JSON, and delete them. For anything we hold about you, such as a support email, write to support@instadyn.com and we will help.
Security
Records are encrypted on your device, and backups are encrypted with your password using established encryption. No system is perfectly secure. Keep your device updated and locked, choose a strong backup password and store it somewhere safe.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects what happens to your information, we will tell you in the app as well.
