Who we are and what you agree to

FastBento is made by Instadyn LLC ("Instadyn", "we", "us"). By installing or using FastBento you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and forms part of these terms.

Wellness only, not medical advice

FastBento is a wellness planning and logging app for adults. It is not a medical device and it does not give medical advice, diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Nothing in the app or on this website replaces advice from a doctor or other qualified health professional.

Fasting is not right for everyone. Talk to a clinician before you fast, and before you change how you eat, if any of these apply to you:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You have, or have had, an eating disorder.
• You have diabetes, or take medicines that depend on when you eat.
• You are underweight, have recently lost weight without trying, or are unwell.
• You have kidney, heart or another long-term condition.

Stop a fast and seek help if you feel unwell. You can always end a fast early in FastBento. You use FastBento at your own judgement and risk, and you are responsible for decisions about your health.

Who can use FastBento

The fasting tools in FastBento (the timer, fasting plans and goals) are for adults aged 18 and over. If you tell the app you are under 18, it offers a plain journal only. Please answer the age question honestly, and do not use the fasting tools if you are under 18. If you are a parent or guardian, you are responsible for how a young person in your care uses their device.

Your licence to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use FastBento on your own devices, for your own personal use, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. FastBento and everything in it belongs to Instadyn or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from it, except where the law says you may.

Your records and backups

Your records are yours. FastBento keeps them on your device, and we do not hold a copy. That means we cannot restore them if they are lost. You are responsible for making backups (Settings has a "Back up now" option) and for keeping your backup password safe. If you lose the password, nobody can open the backup, including us.

Free use and the Lifetime purchase

FastBento is free to use. Lifetime is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks the app's Lifetime features without a subscription or renewal fee. Every offer in the app lets you continue free.

On iPhone, purchases are made through the App Store, and on Android through Google Play. The store charges you and handles payment, refunds and cancellations under its own terms, so refund requests go to Apple or Google. You can restore a purchase on a new device with "Restore purchases" and the same Apple or Google account. Lifetime features are tied to that account.

Lifetime is a one-time purchase: you don't pay again for the Lifetime features you bought.

Acceptable use

Please use FastBento lawfully and as intended. Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the app, our website or any other person's device or data, and do not use the app in a way that harms anyone.

Stores and other services

You also have to follow the terms of the store you downloaded FastBento from, and of any cloud service where you save backups. Those companies are separate from us, and we are not responsible for their services.

Updates and changes

We may update FastBento, change features, or stop offering it. We try to give notice of changes that matter and to keep your records usable: you can export them as CSV or JSON, or make a backup, at any time.

No warranty

We work hard to make FastBento reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that its plans or estimates will suit you, or that it will give any particular health result.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Instadyn is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of records you did not back up, or for any harm that follows from decisions about your health. Our total liability for any claim about FastBento is limited to the amount you paid us for it, if any. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending your use

You can stop using FastBento at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue (such as the health notice and the limits of liability) continue afterwards.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new date, and for important changes we will tell you in the app. Using FastBento after a change means you accept it.
